This is an abject lesson in bankroll management. Oyba had seemingly found his level at the $20-$30 heads-up matches. He wasn’t winning, but he wasn’t losing either. Then, disaster. He won a couple of higher stakes games, invested his winnings in a $5,000 heads-up, won that and decided he was going to be rich. He lost the next three $5,000 heads-up matches – all in the space of 20 minutes. We like his never-say-die attitude though. After a month licking his wounds, oyba played a $50 heads-up. And lost.
