US superstar packs his bags, books his flights and heads for Barcelona and the European Poker Tour

European poker is definitely on the up-and-up, and if any proof is required, the fact that US stars are flying in on a regular basis to play, means poker in Europe has hit the big time.

Daniel Negreanu, the new addition to Team PokerStars, will make his European Poker Tour debut at the end of August when he takes part in the €8,000 Barcelona EPT.

Neagreanu will be joined by team-mates Greg Raymer and Humberto Brenes in Barcelona, and will then head over to the UK to take part in the London EPT.

His career tournament winnings are approaching $10m - will he hit the milestone in Europe?

London EPT satellites kicked off this week on PokerStars, with buy-ins starting from 700 FPP or $5.50. Over 40 people have already qualified for Barcelona. In what looks set to be a vintage year for this particular Tour.
