The midweek $215 PokerStars.com EPT Double Shoot-Outs, with one seat guaranteed, have been filling up very quickly.
This was the preferred route of EPT Grand Final winner Gavin Griffin, who went on to win €1.8m in Monte Carlo last March.
Gavin will no doubt have been impressed by the achievement of Kiwi online phenomenon ‘Tycoon_Kid’ who won a Barcelona EPT Double Shoot Out and then, one hour later, won the London EPT Double Shoot Out.
Total investment: $430, total returns: $27,400 in EPT packages. With 81 players per Shoot Out, that’s a 6,642 to one shot assuming an equal skill level. The message from ‘Tycoon_Kid’ is clearly ‘assume nothing’.
