GUKPT London Heads Up Championship Betting Odds

The third leg of the 2009 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour starts this week at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London. The 11-day festival of poker starts on Thursday 19th March with an exclusive £2,500 heads up tournament, in which sixteen players will battle it out for the £20,000 first prize and the title of London Heads Up Champion. The festival continues with several side events with buy-ins ranging from £100 - £500 and concludes with the £1,500 main event, which is expected to attract a field of around 400 players. The London Heads Up Championship is already sold out and the 16 players who will contest the event have now been named. Previous GUKPT Heads Up Champion Kevin O'Leary will not be defending his title and runner up Marc Goodwin is also not competing in the tournament.

Bookmaker Blue Square has now launched a betting market for the event. Outright prices are now available and individual match bets will also be on offer from the quarter-finals onwards. The draw for the first round will take place shortly before the 1st round matches start, at 3pm on Thursday 19th March. Draws for subsequent rounds will be made shortly after each round has been completed.
