On Saturday 26 September InsidePoker was given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Phil Hellmuth's preparations for his grand entrance to day 1A of the WSOPE main event. We took a cab with the Poker Brat from St Martin's Lane Hotel and went to the start point at Waterloo Place. Along the way, Phil explained why London was even better for his 'Emperor' entrance than the Rio.

At Waterloo Place, Phil met his driver and stunt man Gerard, practised riding in the chariot and got acquainted with the horses, the stable girls and centurions. At 1.45pm, our unique entourage started makings its way towards the Empire Casino, forcing the busiest part of London to a standstill and provoking bystanders to ask: 'Who is this man riding in a chariot through London?
