Whittier, California, is home for Kim, who’s gone from being a business analyst to poker pro. He bought himself into the event and sold off a few pieces to friends. He’s short-stacked, but not too worried. ‘Every day has been a struggle,’ says Kim, ‘but playing the short stack has been my biggest strength.’
