Boots, Balls and Bellringers

A must-buy for any fan of Rugby League, 'Boots, Balls and Bellringers' provides an action-packed hour of Super League action

Rugby's finest double act make Boots, Balls and Bellringers a thoroughly entertaining watch

Fronted by the best double act in sports commentary, Sky's Eddie Hemmings and Mike 'Stevo' Stephenson, this DVD is a compilation of Super League's great and not-so-great moments.

Eddie and Stevo take us through the greatest tries, biggest hits and most embarassing moments seen in the Super League so far.

They also put together their Top Ten players in the history of Super League - a task that nearly saw the pair fall out.

"I'd always thought of Eddie as a brother," said Stevo when quizzed about their Top Ten.

"But we almost came to blows on this one - we made a Top Ten in the end because he realised that I was right and he was wrong."

Eddie, of course, saw it slightly differently.

"Stevo's always talked a good game, but I thought he'd had one 'bellringer' too many when he told me his top ten players of all time. It took some persuading but we got there in the end when Stevo admitted I knew best."

Rugby's finest double act feature heavily throughout the DVD both in front of the camera and behind the mic, as commentators - and their colourful commentary helps make Boots, Balls and Bellringers a thoroughly entertaining watch.

VERDICT

There aren't too many Rugby League DVDs on the market, but this one is a belter. If you like Rugby League, buy it.
