Well you cannot get better than that for a sporting spectacle.
The Rose Bowl produced a superb pitch for Saturday's Twenty20 finals day, and some superb cricket was delivered by some outstanding talent.
In the final Rob Key and Owais Shah looked exactly what they are - a class above the county professional - but the pressure with such potential paydays exposed the players to a thrill that they have never experienced before. It was breathtaking and a joy.
For us as punters it worked out OK as well. Now I have long maintained there is a bit more hit-and miss about long term views in Twenty20, and preferred the laying of the big favourites during play as the game could turn round in one over.
